I created a background with distress inks and some stencils. I stamped and heat embossed the woodware stamps image and then watercoloured it with distress inks and added a sprinkle of pixie powders. I am entering it into the Simon says Stamp challenge Happy Birthday!

Congratulations

A colleague retires this week after over years of working for the NHS. I made her this card with the Pink Ink Pigtastic stamp. I coloured the background and fence with distress inks. The pig was coloured with zig markers. I am entering this into the Simon says Stamp Monday challenge 4 Legged Friend

Thank you so much

We had the loveliest afternoon yesterday at a garden party at a local care home.....clearly a good reason to whip up a thank you card 😀
I used stormy sky distress ink to create the background,  stamping some leaves in mowed lawn. I used the Tim Holtz stamping platform which allowed me to mist the stamp with water after first stamping the image. Overstamping with the slightly wet stamp gave the image a watercolored look. I cut the bird from the Tim Holtz bird and egg die from scraps of different shades of brown. Finally I cut the sentiment from Bold Text into the background and then again in some brown paper. I was then able to pop the brown letters into the spaces on the card. All in all a quick make, but i am quite pleased with it 😊

'Tis the Season, with Mr Frost and Twig & Stump

I started by die-cutting the largest of the Tim Holtz tags  times out of mixed media card. I spritzed and blended with Distress inks and then die cut one of the messages from the Tim Holtz Bold text Christmas set. I cut the text again from a pice of snowflake paper, placing the letters in the apertures. I then joined three together with a larger piece of cardstock, scoring it at the joins so that the card would fold in a conertina fashion, then backing the tags with the remaining three inked pieces.

I added some die cut sizzix snowflakes and then the Sizzix snowmen from the Twig and Stump set along with Mr Frost. The tree is also from the Twig and Stump set. All of the images were coloured with Distress inks. Finally some festive ribbon to finish it all off.

Celebrate your day

Lots of inky layers on the background of this stamp. Distress Oxide inls in Spiced Marmalade and Salty Ocean were blended, spritzed and stencilled. The stamp is A Scholar by Penny Black. I stamped it with Versafine black ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the same colour of distress inks to water colour the image. The Celebrate the Day staed sentiment is from the same Penny Black stamp. Layered butterfly.

This was completely inspired by a make on the Tim Holtz "live" that aired yesterday. I cut the Bigz Tattered Butterfly in a number of papers that I had created on my gel plate. I layered these under a dark green butterfly which I had embossed and then rubbed with gold gilding wax.  I then mounted the whole thing on a panel of the dark green card embossed with the same folder.
